If a picture's worth 1,000 words...

then a video's gotta be good for three or four thousand, right? In our inability to blog deep thoughts or even post recent pictures, I thought I would share a couple videos from tonight to make up for it. Avery started pre-school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but this week on Wednesday she had some special "girl time" with Mommy and few friends as they went downtown to see a Princess Puppet Show of Sleeping Beauty and then out for lunch. She all of the sudden decides to be shy on the video.



Out of nowhere tonight, Brady shared with us his latest trick. He's quite impressed and so were we. Our little man is quickly becoming not so little anymore. Getting ready to be a big brother I guess. We are definitely blessed! -Adam

Something That Made Me Smile

I know I haven't blogged in AGES.... I'll blame it on my pregnancy, but really it has been a million things. But, I did get an email that made me smile for the first in the day yesterday and has prompted me to blog.... a link to some family photos we had taken by a friend of ours from high school who is absolutely talented beyond words.

Yes, they are of our kids and I hate to be "that mom" that is always slapping photos up of my kids looking for an "aren't they soooo adorable" response. But I just have to. The pics are too good. :)

A couple new photos...

We've been terrible at updating the blog this summer. New job, new baby on the way and a little mommy that doesn't feel so good all add up to equal a dusty blog. I did want to add a couple pictures though - one from a recent visit from our dear friends the Smiths and their gorgeous baby Ellison (see more of her at www.smitherses.blogspot.com). Only one from the tub on our "CABIN DAY" July 4th weekend with my sister Amanda and her beautiful girls Addie & Lucy, though it was a fun weekend worth many more pix. And a couple brand new ones with Avery and Brady's newest possessions. Avery is now officially obsessed with anything at all that has the Disney princesses on it ("Daddy when I'm older and I can drive, can I have Ariel keys?") and Brady got his first IU hat!

We had a wonderful day with family and friends celebrating Avery at Monkey Joe's!

St. Kitts

We were incredibly blessed with the opportunity to travel to the beautiful island of St. Kitts and enjoy some time sans kids. It was a much needed and much appreciated getaway. We kept our activities to a minimum and just enjoyed the pampering. It was wonderful!



My partner at work, Cara Giese and her husband Grant were there too, and it was great to spend some time with them. There are good people in Lafayette, after all! ;)

In all honesty, I put this ball seven feet from the hole and putt in for birdie. Unfortunately there are no photos of me on the very next hole where I put four balls into the deep blue sea.


It seemed like each place we went the views got more and more breathtaking. This picture was at a rural beachside restaurant called The Spice Mill and it was amazing! Pretty much everything about St. Kitts was amazing. We miss it already.

Crazy Amounts of Creativity

Well I couldn't help but brag about (and do some free marketing :) for my awesomely creative big sister. Not too long ago, she decided to open up a small sewing business, Little Birds Boutique, and sell some of her stuff on Etsy. It's mostly baby stuff, but she has some other cute things too. Needless to say, it has taken off... no surprise to me since her stuff is sooo dang cute. I thought I would post a couple of her things on my blog for you all to take a look at.
